Training

 

Since 1993 Inner Universe has gained sufficient grounds in establishing as a provider of quality training programs in soft skills both to the public and reputed companies in the Gulf region. The “once a year training programs” were hugely popular and soon the need for a permanent base in the UAE was felt. Inner Universe commenced its operations by opening a branch office in 2000. Since then over 50,000 people have attended the training programs including in-house programs to the corporate sector including Emirates Training College, Crowneplaza hotels, Petroleum Development Oman etc in the Gulf.

 

 

Educational Services

 

The programs were not limited to the adults. Children in particular teenagers benefited immensely from the popular Study Skills, Life skills and Career guidance modules. As a spin off from these programs, requests for providing guidance on right career choices increased and a centre for career guidance and higher education advice was envisaged.

 

Aptitude testing by qualified personnel, complimentary news letters on higher education around the world, free information sessions on various career topics have been some of the activities that we have been involved in. We have now extended the services to providing advice, counseling, support and assistance in facilitating the transition of students from high school to University and beyond.

 

Our accreditation

 

We are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE and are licensed to provide all services relating to placement of students in Universities abroad.

 

The Inner Universe educational services team

 

It is headed by Mrs. Shyamala Elango who leads an efficient team of counsellors, all qualified and experienced. The counselors under her supervision are suitably equipped with professional and post graduate qualifications. They have been trained by Ms. Elango in areas relating to international education, the different education systems in UAE, their acceptability by Universities overseas, application processing etc.

 

Inner Universe’ Counsellor Development programme

 

To maintain quality, upgrade knowledge and skills of the counseling team, we organize training programs twice a year. Besides, one hour every week dubbed “Enlightenment hour” is spent to discuss developments and share latest information. This is done to raise the skill level of the team as a whole.

 

The team is also sponsored for external programs offered by other providers

 

Familiarization visits to University campuses are being done regularly for first hand knowledge, impressions and evaluation.

 

Infrastructure and facilities

 With complete networking, DSL internet connections and wireless facility, we are equipped to interact with Institutions worldwide and provide support to our clients and students on a continuous basis.

 

Unrestricted internet access also allows the counselors to keep in touch with latest developments and changes in almost real time and advise clients accordingly.

 

Regular engagement with the institutions helps clarify issues and seek answers to queries. We also have sufficient facilities for organizing in house pre departure meetings, and running University based presentations for the benefit of students

 

Resource Centre

 

With the office premises overlooking the sea, the atmosphere is in itself very conducive to counseling and training. We have an adequate resource centre with journals, books, audio and video books to cater to the needs of the staff and the students.

 

Subscription to journals and periodicals including e journals has been made to keep abreast of the happenings in the world of higher education. Important information like rankings, deadlines, and other related information are displayed regularly for the benefit of students and clients.
