Surprises in World Rankings 2008
With more stringent measures in place, the world rankings, Universities have jostled for favourable positions. What is remarkable though is the emergence of countries like Australia and Japan . Along with Hong Kong , China and Singapore , the Asia-Pacific region has become a force to reckon with academically. Likewise Europe with France , Germany and Switzerland have all contributed substantially to the Top 200 pool.
